Live, local, and touring acts have played the Fremont Solstice Fair since the annual celebration began in 1971. In 2017, the Fair embraces the free spirit that the Center of the Universe has been known for, featuring two all-free stages of musical groups and DJs scheduled throughout the weekend. In recent years, the festival has welcomed well-known acts the Blue Scholars, Built to Spill, Presidents of the United States of America, Hey Marseilles and more, blended with local up-and-coming artists to create one of Seattle’s most unique music celebrations.
“The Northwest is rich with amazing bands and artists, and we’re excited to build the 2017 lineup, and even more thrilled that it’s all free to enjoy,” says Phil Megenhardt, President of Fremont Solstice organizer Bold Hat Productions. “Seattle is home to some of the most passionate music lovers in the world and the Fremont Solstice Fair is a great event to discover some of the best up-and-coming acts.”
Stay tuned for the 2017 lineup to be announced this spring.
